He lived in Liberty, Liberty Township, McKean, Pennsylvania, United States in 1860 and Benton, Benton, Iowa, United States for about 5 years. He died on 11 October 1892, in Palo, Linn, Iowa, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Linn, Iowa, United States.
