Palon Genealogy

Dear Writer perhaps you could leave me a message

Ira Ames married Cornelia Palon in Albion Dane County Wisconsin in 1868.
The family resided in Albion, Dane County,  Wisconsin then moved on to Milton Township and Janesville, Rock, Wisconsin then moved to Lake Koshkonong in Jefferson County Wisconsin.

If you can help with my Palon research please contact me at http://palongenealogy.blogspot.com/

What do you think? Help me out, Please?

Looking for other thoughts on my Ira Daniel Ames son of Adolphus Ames

Questions:
1. Do you think the Adolphus Ames family sold their land in Pennsylvania and moved to Dane County Wisconsin because there were other "Ames" family relatives there who might be related to them?

2.  The family of Nathaniel Ames had a grandson named John Norton Ames and other family member name patterns follow the children names of Ira Ames when he later married.
 Might there be a connection?

Was Ira still under guardianship of Harvey Campbell when he enlisted in Civil War and just found someone in town with the last name "Ames" to sign his enlistment papers?

Did Ira forge the signature of John Ames on the enlistment papers?

When Adolphus Ames died in Wisconsin in 1854 his probate records said he was penniless.
The three boys were put under guardianship of Harvey Campbell. Sarah his daughter was married to Milo Campbell and living in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin at this time. [more on Sarah in a later blog]

Henry  Ames was found in 1860 working for William Chambers.

Andrew Jackson Ames was found in 1860 working for Seymour Woolcott.

Ira Ames in 1860 was working for Wm Morrison.

Ira was 12 when he  went under guardianship of Harvey Campbell. However in 1860
at age of 19 years and 9 months enlisted in the Civil War with John Ames as guardian.
Was John Ames the John Norton Ames grandson of Nathaniel Ames?  Was this John Ames a relative?
Could not find any records showing that guardianship for Ira Daniel Ames changed from Harvey Campbell to a John Ames. Was he a young man anxious to sign into the Civil War and made up the name "John Ames" and signature on the enlistment papers? I doubt he made up signature as this document looks pretty official and was in his NARA records of enlistment.
